Auto Stop & Go automatically stops the engine when the vehicle comes to a complete stop and is idling. It then starts the engine again once the driver pushes the gas pedal again. This helps eliminate the fuel wasted during idling.



This stands for Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system and is the name given to all Mitsubishi engines equipped with variable valve timing. The first MIVEC engine was used in 1992 in the Mirage. Since then, Mitsubishi has continually improved on this engine technology.



Mitsubishi’s Plug-in Hybrid EVE system gives drivers a versatile hybrid experience with a variety of driving modes. These modes let the vehicle automatically determine the type of power needed, whether electric-only driving or gasoline engine driving at higher speeds. This technology is currently available in the Outlander PHEV.

Deceleration Energy Recovery


As a vehicle slows down, energy is lost. This technology works to capture that energy and use it to charge a hybrid battery.
